Aim
Help me support my family in Gaza
I'm an educator and peace advocate from Gaza. I was trained as a teacher, and worked extensively with young people in Gaza.
When the war in Gaza started in October 2023 I was in Turkey. I've tried to go back to be with my family but couldn't get in. After a long journey I've reached London and was recently granted asylum status.
My son was killed in the war although he was never involved with any militant group. I chose to dedicate myself to reconciliation and non-violence so that others do not suffer a similar fate as that of my own family.
Even though I was granted asylum, it is a struggle to help support my remaining family in Gaza. There are about 50 people who rely on me to help them buy necessary basic needs, such as food, medicine and hygiene products.
