🐴 Our Story
My name is Sandra Wharton, and for the past seven years my horse Pinkie has been my partner, my joy, and my teammate in 90cm eventing. Even at 67, I still love every moment we share in the sport. This season has been our best yet: we’ve qualified for the National Riding Club Eventing Final and the Cotswold Cup Three-Day Eventing Championships in September. Out of more than 300 rider–horse combinations, only 50 qualified, and Pinkie and I are proudly placed 23rd.
Reaching this final event feels like the perfect way to complete my time as an amateur event rider. I know the moment is coming when I will need to retire from competing and find Pinkie a new home where she can continue doing what she loves. 
That will be a sad day, but finishing this season together would mean the world to me.
But right now, we’re stuck.
🚚 The Challenge
Recently, my horsebox broke down. Although it’s now repaired, the cost has taken a large portion of the funds I had set aside, not only to attend this final championship, but also to give myself the time and space to find Pinkie the loving home she deserves afterwards.
I am asking for help so Pinkie and I can take part in this very special final event we have worked so hard to qualify for, and so I can ensure her future is handled with the care she deserves. Any support, large or small, would be deeply appreciated.
