To inspire a world where individuals are enabled to pursue personal dreams and endeavours for the betterment for themselves and humanity.
We will inspire 1 million children with access to education.
Here's how...
Every £3,000 raised enables us to deploy 1 Pod Kit with access to Lumi empowering 500+ students in remote parts of the world. Our target of £30,000 will allow us to run the operation for 3 months deploying 10 Pods and educating 5,000 marginalised children.
According to the United Nations, 15% of the world's adults are illiterate.
We're asking, why?
Why, in 2022, can over one billion people not read or write.
What barriers do children face?
It turns out, around the world there are many barriers to education.
Over 1 billion people have no electricity, 50% of schools have no internet, and in Cameroon 1 textbook is shared between 12 students.
Clearly this is not a feasible way to learn.
What is the current solution?
Books are currently shipped to rural parts of the world.
But funding a shipment is costly.
There's a 6 month transportation time.
Physical books will degrade in hotter climates.
And content tends to be culturally inappropriate and out of date.
Digital education is the future.
In remote areas, our offline learning kit, named Pod, gives access to high quality digital education.
Even when there is no internet or electricity.
Pod is designed and 3D printed, in-house, right here in Sunderland.
Our mission is to empower 1,000,000 marginalised students using this kit.
