Bring our immersive cultural journeys from abroad directly to students in state schools & colleges this summer, via 360°VR tours, food & fun
All Abroad! Bus: Bringing the world to you!
Hi! I’m Julia Vogado, language tutor, curious traveller, passionate linguist, multidisciplinary creative and 'edupreneur'. From my base in East Sussex, I set up All Abroad! Bus because I believe that everyone should be able to experience the richness of other cultures and languages, and not only those who can afford to travel abroad, take time off, physically travel and navigate unfamiliar spaces.
Too many children and young people in the UK are missing out on the joys and transformative impact of travel, language learning and cultural connection. That’s not just unfair for them, it risks limiting their future opportunities - and it's not great for the UK either!
That’s where All Abroad! Bus comes in!
So what is it?
Well… not a real bus (yet!). The bus is a metaphor for now.
What we create and offer is a travelling collection of 'pop-up' immersive language & culture experiences that bring the sights, sounds, tastes, smells, textures, stories and traditions from other countries directly to schools & colleges, care settings, community groups, events, workplaces, families and we can adapt for other groups too.
By recreating inclusive and accessible authentic experiences in the comfort and convenience of these different settings, we can 'transport' everyone abroad through:
- our original immersive 360° VR headset tours
- interactive multi-sensory set-ups
- food & drink tastings
- engaging activities & meaningful language tasks
- creative, cultural and culinary workshops
No barriers to access. No hassle. No actual travel. No passports needed.
Whether it’s a vibrant food market, an exhilarating festival or a multi-destination tour, our visiting adventures spark curiosity, open minds, broaden horizons, develop cultural capital, build empathy and intercultural understanding, boost confidence, motivate language learners, foster world-ready citizens and offer a fun, enriching step outside of and yet alongside the usual curriculum.
For older people and others in care, it’s also a stimulating way to (re)connect with places, bring back memories and joy.

Why am I crowdfunding?
Our mission is to tackle the deep inequity in access to enriching cultural experiences and cultural capital, and help drive social change. However, those who stand to benefit most are often in state schools, colleges and care settings with limited budgets. Even our very cost-effective visits are still out of reach for many. While I’m applying for grantsand seeking support from corporate and organisational sponsors/partners to widen participation, those wheels turn slowly.
This summer, with your support, we could reach over 1,000 young learners, most of whom will otherwise miss out on educational trips or family travel abroad and won't have other meaningful cultural experiences to make sense of language learning or the bigger world, by
- offering 10-12 funded immersive visits to under-resourced schools and colleges on our waitlist
- expanding out tech offer with more VR headsets.

If you’ve ever travelled abroad, or had the opportunity to know or work with people from other cultures, you'll know just how powerful even the smallest spark of cultural connection can be, so, please:
*Donate or grab a reward - every amount makes a difference, eg:
- £5 = brings the world to 1 young person;
- £10 = funds 2 young people, with every additional £5 funding one more;
- £250 = a half-day visit (with 2–3 classes);
- £450 =a whole-day visit (up to 5 classes/150 participants)
You can also claim a reward for yourself, gift one to someone else, club together as a group or there are branded options for companies wishing to be recognised.

NB: Beneficiary settings so far are in East/West Sussex, but supporters can name a school or college, and we’re open to further travel with added costs covered.
