Help us support the nighttime and live entertainment economy workers. We need to raise £3,000 to cover United We Stream London set up cost.
The global COVID-19 pandemic has created a very uncertain landscape for millions of British small businesses, including events and music sector workers, who we are hoping to help get through this challenging time with our solidarity live-streaming project - United We Stream London.
Through the platform United We Stream offers, we are planning to put on virtual events in empty clubs across London, showcasing some of the capital's biggest talents in electronic music. They will be streamed online with no public present at the venue. The clubs and promoters participating in the project as well as others in the sector who might be on the brink of bankruptcy can all apply for the financial help. The Music Venue Trust will administer most of the money (70%), part of it will go into a Firefighting Pool (20%) for consideration of individual cases and the rest (10%) will be donated to London-based charity Music Support, which provides support to UK music industry workers suffering from alcoholism, addiction and mental health issues. The project has so far raised over £800k globally.
The set up costs to get it off the ground in London is £3,000, which is what we are hoping to raise through this campaign.
