SHARKS: IN DEEP WATER is a film to change things. Join a journey to SAVE SHARKS and EXPOSE TRUTHS closer to home than you ever imagined.

SHARKS: IN DEEP WATER is a feature film, a docudrama packed with conservation solutions. When we think about a trade in sharks, we think about Asia, shark finning and shark fin soup. Yet there's an invisible Western trade in sharks. We're actually the driving force behind the silencing of the seas. It's happening on our watch and on our doorstep. Every day more than 250,000 sharks are killed. 

Anti-finning laws have massively backfired - we're eating more shark meat than ever before. And it's toxic. 

SHARKS: IN DEEP WATER tells the true story of a crack team - campaigner, Louise, shark geneticist, Samantha and filmmaker Matt - as they go undercover to expose a trade in shark closer to home than you ever imagined possible. 

With your support, our film will explain how ENDANGERED sharks are LEGALLY imported into the West, have their fins removed onshore, and are then exported to the East. Undercover filming reveals which four EU member states combine to catch more sharks than any single country on Earth, expose a trade in sharks in UK fish and chip shops, and explain the loophole allowing Moroccans to catch, kill and eat CRITICALLY ENDANGERED Great White Shark in the Mediterranean.  

It's not just a roller-coaster marathon of a film, SHARKS: IN DEEP WATER is a catalyst for change... Lou has launched a campaign to make the UK fin free by 2023, Matt is looking to have the labelling of shark changed for improved consumer transparency and Sam's discoveries will help us lobby Morocco's government to support their artisanal fleet. 

Why do sharks matter? Sharks have been regulating the oceans for over 400 million years. Remove sharks, and ocean systems collapse, systems that give us every second breath we take. Fish either become diseased [sharks are like the immune system of the seas] or eat themselves out of house and home. Oceans provide three billion people with their primary source of protein yet we're exterminating the sentinels of the sea.  

We could never have imagined the journey SHARKS: IN DEEP WATER would take us on, what we would see, what we would come to know.

Now we want you to know. We think people need to know. So we're going to show you. We're going to show you in a film with plot twists and jeopardy, with happiness and humour, with sadness and honesty. Like a Hollywood Blockbuster. Except better... because it's real.
