To bring great-tasing coffee to more people with a specially-fitted coffee van.

Studio Black was founded with a single vision: to create exceptional coffee that fuels creativity.
The creative industries face a mental health crisis due to long hours, job instability, and isolation. Where wellbeing support does exist, it is often poorly signposted. And when you do take a break, the coffee on offer is usually notoriously poor.

But we think that a great cup of coffee has the power to make a difference. It's a chance to take a breath, check in and refuel. Plus, our cups and packaging carry 24/7 mental health support signposting, so every sip raises awareness.

Born in the heart of Salford, Studio Black is a small-batch roastery founded by Tobias and Callum, two creatives from the TV and film industry.

Tobias has played a key role in delivering some of the UK’s most high-profile charity broadcasts, including Comic Relief and Children in Need.
Callum is a multi-disciplinary designer with a background in motion design, branding, and broadcast TV, including work for The BRITs, Eurovision & The Official Charts.

Since we began roasting 12 months ago, we've had some amazing achievements, including:

We want to be able to take our great coffee to more places at once. That means buying and fitting a second, larger, coffee van that is equipped for servicing more people.
So we can take one van to a local market while the other one goes to the set of an exciting new movie. That's more coffee served, and more creativity fuelled.
Over the last 12 months, we've been reinvesting the profits from our business into the things we needed to get started, like a coffee roaster, regular orders of beans, our unique clapperboard coffee bags (designed in-house), and our small coffee van.
We're asking for your help with the next phase so that we can keep up with the demand for our coffee on-location, as well as continuing to serve our existing customer base.
We've put in £9,000 of our money to buy the van. Now, we're hoping to raise £10,000 to fit it. This breaks down as:

We don't expect something for nothing. You can come with us on the long drives and late nights – with your name on the back of our van! We've also got a range of rewards for coffee-lovers up for grabs, ideal for getting your creativity flowing, including:
We'll be in touch soon after your donation to organise your reward, so keep your eyes on your inbox!
