☭ Riding for revolution ☭

Aim

We need revolution. I have a few days off! So, I will ride from London to Margate to raise funds for a new Revolutionary Communist Party ☭

I completed my ride on 16th February. It was (even) tougher than expected, but the last few miles riding by the beach in the dark were truly magical, and the support of friends, family and RCP supporters made it all worth it. Please continue to donate, and I will match every penny up to £500.

The world seems to be falling apart: climate disaster, unbearable inequality, economic stagnation, war...
But the truth is, if workers get organised and take power, this could be the beginning of the end not for the world - but for a deeply rotten capitalist system.

In May 2024, the British section of the International Marxist Tendency will hold the founding congress of a brand new Revolutionary Communist Party. Needless to say, we have no big business funding. Every member and supporter will be making a financial sacrifice to make this launch the success it needs to be for us to become a real factor in the big events that are starting to unfold.

This year, we are reviving the legacy of Lenin 100 years after his death, but 100km didn't seem like enough of a challenge. So, putting together two of my great loves - cycling and communism - I have decided to ride from London to Margate in one day, by way of Canterbury, on 16 February. 154km to celebrate the 154 years since Lenin's birth.
