Help Joanna Cherry QC continue to stand up for Scotland, democracy and the rule of law.
I am standing for re-election as the SNP Member of Parliament for Edinburgh South West.
My campaign needs money to help me reach out to voters. Small donations of whatever you can afford to give will help me get my message out.
I also need volunteers; to help deliver leaflets, canvass, staff street stalls and much more - if you can help please email [email protected]
I need your help to fight against a hard-right Tory government which does not care about the people of Scotland and our future.
Scotland voted to Remain in the EU but first the Theresa May government and then Boris Johnson's have ignored the wishes of Scotland's people, parliament and Government in their chaotic Brexit negotiations.
The low point was when Boris Johnson tried to suspend the UK Parliament to push through a No Deal Brexit. I led the court case to stop this and secured victory in the Supreme Court. I've stopped Boris once, together we can stop him again.
The shambles of Brexit shows that Britain is broken. Westminster is outmoded. We need greater democracy, something we could achieve if our future was in our own hands.
We see around us the consequences of a decade and more of austerity and longer still of de-regulation and privatisation. The UK is becoming a low wadge economy with hard-working folk in insecure work struggling to bills and put food on the table. If Boris Johnson controls Brexit it will further impact on our lives and on businesses and universities across the country and in Edinburgh South West.
In Parliament as a local MP, I have championed the rights of my constituents and fought individual cases. As a member of the Brexit Select Committee, I have worked hard hold the UK Government to account for its shambolic handling of Brexit and its chaotic No-Deal planning. As the SNP's spokesperson on Justice and Home Affairs, I have sought to defend some of the most vulnerable people in our society and those who are denied their rights by an uncaring Government.
The SNP will campaign to ensure Scotland's right to choose its own future. A vote for the SNP is a vote to ensure that. It is a vote for a party which has consistently provided effective opposition to the Conservative Government which cannot speak for the people of Scotland.
Please give what you can to help re-elect me as the MP for Edinburgh South West so I can continue to stand up for Scotland and against Brexit.
Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

The case brought against Boris Johnson forced him to promise the Scottish Courts that he would obey the law to request and accept the extension which prevented the UK crashing out of the EU on 31 October. Despite all his bluff and bluster that he was going to ignore the Benn Act and crash us out regardless with No Deal the court action forced him to comply.
Joanna Cherry lead the ‘Cherry Case’ against the anti-democratic shut-down of the Westminster parliament. Boris Johnson tried to shut-down parliament to prevent it from stopping a No Deal Brexit. All 11 justices on the UK Supreme Court followed the ruling of Scotland’s highest court and found that the shut-down was unlawful and ordered parliament be brought back immediately.
As the only MP in the Article 50 Case, Joanna Cherry’s participation was vital to securing success. The European Court of Justice in Luxembourg found against the UK Government and ruled that the Article 50 Notice can be unilaterally revoked and if Parliament decides the UK can always avoid crashing out without a deal. Without this case a second EU referendum or People’s Vote would not be possible.
Donations of any amount are welcome
