Cloud Comic Con 18/19 June 2021 is a virtual comic fest. Merging audiences from Glasgow Comic Con, ECAF & Rai Con all into one online space.

June 18 / 19 2021. A mixture of Live and Pre-Recorded broadcast.
Join us for a virtual comic con. The content is FREE to VIEW. So anyone in the world can enjoy it. You can help put it on by pledging and receiving rewards.

Cloud Comic Con will be a virtual comic con, bringing together audiences from Glasgow Comic Con, Edinburgh Comic Art Festival, and Rai Con all into one online space. It will include a series of talks, panels, and a virtual artists alley to promote the works of independent creators.

Our project is part of the Creative Scotland Crowdmatch - we are 1 of 20 shortlisted creative projects in Scotland - that have the opportunity to win a share of £75,000 in match funding, up to £10,000 per project.

Special guests will include J.M.Demattis (Justice League Int, Batman), Tillie Walden (On a Sunbeam), Charlie Adlard (The Walking Dead), Shazleen Khan (Buzza), Dave Cook (Killtopia), Claire Lim (Wee Claire) and Frank Quitely (Jupiter’s Legacy) plus many more TBA.

The money will help us:

a) pay all the contributors an appearance fee, and

b) pay for technical requirements to run the event - pro software, editing, sound, and production.

Any leftover will go towards future events.
We wanted to make something that was free and accessible for all of our audiences to say thank you, hang in there, and that we will all be back together in real life soon. We also wanted to reach out to new fans and a worldwide audience who can share our love of comics, anime, and pop culture fandom. 2020 has been a devastating year for our events, and this money will help us stay in touch with our event attendees for the future.

We wanted to give you something digital and tangible as rewards, but don’t worry, you’ll get access to the online events regardless of what level you pledge. But if you want to get yourself some cool books or merch, please consider backing a higher pledge. Thanks!

The production team includes Sha Nazir, who produced over 30 real-life comic cons, David Bell, co-producer for 8 Rai Cons, and Mark Boyle, who has an extensive background in live and digital events. Our live events have included 9 Glasgow Comic Cons, 9 Rai Cons, 6 ECAFS plus multiple comics awards shows, regional cons, and national exhibitions.

BHP comics and Attic Events are creative arts businesses that focus on the advocacy of comics and pop culture through publishing and events.
